Spring Term 2022 Newsletter and Sticky Knowledge grids

We had a space themed day with a visit from Starlincs with an inflatable planetarium. It was amazing, with views of the night sky and the planets. We looked at the phases of the moon too, before going off to taste astronaut food, build a lander and make a mobile solar system. We all wore fancy dress for the occasion.

Space Day

Professor Copeland came to visit. He is a theoretical physicist, cosmologist and a Professor of Physics at the University of Nottingham. He talked to us about the universe and we asked lots of questions. What a jaw dropping afternoon full of amazing facts.

What a wonderful Harvest Festival service in St. Michael's church, led by the children in Oak class. It was wonderful to share this with parents and carers again

The children have designed a Christmas decoration with a recycling theme. They have some excellent and creative examples of tree or room decorations to help make our classroom festive, which they will bring home at the end of term. They have had some amazingly innovative designs with old jigsaws, plastic bottles and old woollen jumpers!

Remembrance Day

Oak class performed a Remembrance Service for the whole School via Teams. Children can be seen in the photographs showing off their painted Remembrance stones and placing them by the memorial at the entrance to school. Henry played 'The Last Post' on his cornet while this was happening.
