We went off to Perlethorpe for the day. We were Anlgo-saxons in the morning, then Vikings in the afternoon. Mrs Speed came to visit us in the afternoon
The whole school went out for a play in the snow. We built snowmen and had a great time. We had to be quick as it didn't last long!
As part of our history topic this term, we enjoyed finding out what the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings ate. We had a go at cooking some of these and then tasting them afterwards.
We studied the painting, Mr and Mrs Andrews and did a range of activities based on it. The whole school showed these off to the parents in a special assembly.
See what we will be learning about in the Spring Term.
The children did an amazing Church service this morning. Thank you to Mary and Jeremy for the 'Address' and to the parents and governors who attended to share the message at Christmastime and join in the singing. Wishing everyone a peaceful and restful Christmas holiday.
We made some lovely creations in weekly sewing club with Mrs McCracken which will make great Christmas presents. Thank you to Millie's mum for helping.
The whole school went off to Newark Theatre for our annual pant visit. We had a great time watching a hilarious version of Cinderella and especially liked the ice-cream during the interval.
We designed an array of different Christmas crafts and cards then made them afterwards. Our favourites were the snowmen made from white socks and filled with rice. Mrs Francis said there was more rice on the carpet than in the snowmen!
This is a selection of our lino tile printing work. We used our leaf designs as inspiration and used special cutting tools to cut out the design on a rubber tile. We then used rollers and printing inks to create different repeating patterns.
Wow! Look at our wonderful costumes. We did a fabulous job of supporting the younger children with our Christmas nativity production, 'The Inspectors'.
